The Multi Tool performs six functions, Retrieve Blocks, Repair, Change and Rotate, Downgrade, Upgrade, and Salvage. Used the RMB, Right Mouse Button to access these functions.

Retrieve Blocks returns intact blocks for the player's structures. It has a 33% probability of returning intact blocks on public structures.

Repair is used for repairing devices and building blocks.

Change and Rotate function is used for changing transparency of some windows (LMB) and rotation of building blocks and small device of size 1x1 (Insert/Delete/Home/End).

Downgrade function is used for downgrading devices and building blocks. The block must have full hit points or health in order to be downgraded.

Upgrade function is used for upgrading devices and building blocks. The block must have full hit points or health in order to be upgraded.

Salvage function is used to salvage the players structures and public structures. It will always return components.

The Multi Tool T2, is considerably better than the standard Multi Tool, especially at repairing.
