The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~
) when posting an issue.
Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:
- This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
- Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
- Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding
{{delete|reason for deletion request}}
to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion. - Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
- Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
- For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.
In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}
, preferably as the topic subject/headline.
Current Issues[]
Request for comment: Game Version Reference[]
While trying to update the receipes, i've come along the "History" section of the page. In this section, there are informations about "when" a change in this item happend. But there is no information to witch version of the game the actual article is referring to. In other words, a user is unable to identify if for exaple a receipe is for his actual version of the game or already outdated. Due to the fact, that many receipes and namings of materials have changed from alpha 7 to 8, it would be nice if the user would be able to have a version context on the article. A nice location to post such an information could be the infobox-template. Lusti2000 (talk) 14:17, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- This should be more or less addressed by the {{Version}} and {{SVersion}} templates I've created. -TheRealLarkas (Talk Ι Contribs) 13:53, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Request for comment: article naming convention[]
While trying to fix broken links on this wiki, i've noticed an inconsistency with the article naming. While Flak Turret (CV) uses "()" to separate the vessel type, for example the ammo article Flak Shell CV doesn't use "()" to separate this type. Is this intended behaviour or shouldn't we have a consistent way to name the articles? Lusti2000 (talk) 13:58, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- I suggest we use the parenthesis for naming specific items this way. Feels like the best way to do it. --Fenrah (talk) 16:09, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
- Artillery Turrets (HV), for example, have no indication in the item name to distinguish it from the Artillery Turrets (CV). Artillery Shell HV, however, is named like that in-game. It doesn't have to do with wiki conventions, but with how the items are named in-game. If two items have the same name in-game, we have to differentiate them somehow in the wiki. If there was a version of the Artillery Shell HV for SVs, for example, it would be names "Artillery Shell HV (SV)", while the HV version would be named "Artillery Shell HV (HV)". It might be a little counter-intuitive, but it makes sense once you wrap your head around it. -TheRealLarkas (Talk Ι Contribs) 13:59, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Home Page of Wiki is Out of Date[]
Currently the homepage of the wiki lists the wrong/old Discord server. It also has a number of broken links to guides and sections which don't exist on it, and screenshots which no longer reflect the state of the game (mainly the motorcycle shot).
The twitter plugin appears to be configured correctly, but may need resizing, as it shows pinned posts from 2020 at the top, further enhancing the impression that the wiki is unmaintained.
Do we still have any active admins who could help resolve these issues? I'd like to start working to help bring the wiki back up to date, but it's unlikely to bear fruit with such basic issues on the home page turning away visitors.

- Hi Gazzwidget, thanks for expressing interest in helping out on the Wiki. I guess I'm the only admin at the moment, but I'm unfortunately not so active at the moment due to work & real-life priorities. Perhaps you could look through the main page source, find the templates (as can be seen by double curly brackets in the source editor) and work from there? If you can do some substantive stuff within a week's time then I'd be glad to give you admin rights.
- If you are close with the community on Discord / Twitter, feel free to get them together here and collaborate! There's a lot to do, and it can get really overwhelming when there's so few (often just one) editors.
- Some of the things I was working on are on my talk page. Personally my preference is to start/rename all guide- or instruction-related pages with "Guide/XXX" such that they can be sorted easily -- but if you move any page, be sure to update all the articles linked to it using the tool "what links here" from the right sidebar. Nonetheless there are also things especially templates (e.g. Mediawiki upgrade or similar) that I might not be too sure on how to handle.
