The Drill is one of the tools in Empyrion: Galactic Survival. It is a replacement of the Rock Drill Mode of the [[Survival Tool]], which it surpasses in speed. The Drill uses [[Drill Charge]] - one Charge will allow 750 "shots" from the Drill. Reloading the Drill Charge before the 750 shots are depleted will result in the complete loss of shots, as none of the shots carry over or add to the shots brought on by a fresh Drill Charge load. The Drill has four modes, A mode for regular mining, a precision mode for mining small amounts of ground (This mode does not yield drops when used to mine rocks/deposits ), a flattening mode used for making flat surfaces and a filling mode to fill in holes. Players switch between these four modes using the '''Right Mouse Button'''.[[Image:Drill-Mode.png|thumb|The Menu shown when Pressing Right Mouse button while holding a drill. Tool used for drilling holes into terrain and mining resources.

The Drill is one of the tools in Empyrion: Galactic Survival. It is a replacement of the Rock Drill Mode of the Survival Tool, which it surpasses in speed. The Drill uses Drill Charge - one Charge will allow 750 "shots" from the Drill. Players switch between these four modes using the Right Mouse Button.

History[ | ]

  • Pre-Alpha 1.0.0 : Introduced with drilling in LMB and remove block in RMB
  • Pre-Alpha 1.0.5 : Increased drill charge capacity, reduced reload time
  • Pre-Alpha 1.2.0 : Removed "Removal" function from drill, RMB assigned to flatten function
  • Pre-Alpha 1.2.1 : Functionality changed - strong drill in LMB, weak Drill in RMB
  • Pre-Alpha 2.2.0 : Drill radius decreased
  • Pre-Alpha 2.2.4 : Drill strength increased
