Color Tool as name suggests, use for coloring the blocks. Color Tool can color Hull Blocks and InteriorLight. Hull Blocks introduced in Pre-Alpha 5.4.0 cannot be colored using Color Tool yet.
Shift + LMB
Hull Blocks and InteriorLight can be colored using Color Tool. Method of using Color Tool is as following:
- Point the cross-hair to a block and click
LMBto color the block.
LMBmultiple times will cycle through available color.
Shift + LMBwill paint the block with last used color.
- Dragging the mouse while pressing
Shift + LMBwill color multiple blocks (which are come in front of the cross-hair).
Currently there are 7 colors (5 for InteriorLight) to choose from. They always come in same order while cycling through them. The order of the color for the hull blocks are Default (Gray) --> Blue --> Black --> White --> Red--> Yellow --> Green --> Default (Gray).
In case of InteriorLight The color sequence is White (Default) --> Blue --> Red --> Yellow --> Green --> White (Default)
There is plan for 31 color pallet in Alpha Release .
Note: Painting a block actually replace the block with new colored block, so damaged blocks get repaired if painted.
